JAMMU, Dec 10: A BSF Jawan today died under mysterious circumstances in RS Pura area while a gardener was found dead on a road in Marh area of city outskirts.
According to a police official, Head Constable Daya Ram (47) son of Shiv Gopal, resident of Fatehpur (UP), was found dead this morning on his bed in a barrack of 67 Battalion, RS Pura, where he was presently posted.
He said that body of the deceased was shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for postmortem. “Prima facie it appears that the Jawan died of cardiac arrest”, he said adding, RS Pura police has initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case.
Meanwhile, the dead body of a man lying on a road was found this morning under mysterious from Marh area. The deceased was identified as Shiv Dayal (60) son of Parmanand, resident of Kanachak and was serving as a gardener in GD Goenka School, Nagbani, Jammu.
After completing all medico-legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites while Domana police had initiated inquest proceedings under 174 CrPC in the case.
