UDHAMPUR, July 6: A Border Security Force Jawan died when a speeding passenger taxi turned turtle inside Chenani Nashri Tunnel, here today.
According to the police report, the Xylo car, bearing registration number JK01P-7905 was on its way from Srinagar towards Udhampur when it turned turtle due to overspeeding, resulting into serious head injury to one passenger.
The victim was shifted to CHC Chenani, but he succumbed to his injuries on way to hospital.
The deceased was identified as Ct. 26 bn BSF, namely Amit Kumar Shukla (30), son of Upendra Shukla, resident of village Singra Khurd of Jharkhand. Chenani Police have registered the case in this connection.
