BSF jawan dies of burn injuries

JAMMU, Oct 6: A jawan of Border Security Force (BSF) died today due to burn injuries received in a mysterious fire at a border outpost in Arnia sector of Jammu.
“The Jawan was identified as Constable Joginder Chand (27) son of Bishan Das, resident of Kud (Udhampur),” a police official said.
He said a mysterious fire broke out in dry bushes near Tittar Border Out Post and Joginder Chand injured badly in the fire. The injured jawan was immediately shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu from where after taking LAMA his family rushed him to a hospital in Ludhiana but he died on the way in Samba.
“The body of the Jawan was shifted to District Hospital Samba for postmortem while inquest proceeding was initiated in this connection at police station Arnia,” the official added.
