JAMMU, Nov 4: A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was found dead under mysterious circumstances at his rented accommodation in Paloura area here today, officials said.
They said Nitish Kumar (33) son of Dharm Paul of Gurdaspur at present posted and resident of Paloura area was found hanging at his current residence around 12:30 pm.
After getting information, a team from Janipur Police Station rushed to the spot and took the body into possession, officials said.
Meanwhile, police have launched inquest proceedings under the relevant sections of the law to ascertain the cause of the death of the BSF jawan and handed over his body to his legal heirs after conducting the post-mortem examination at Government Medical College Jammu.
