BSF jawan held for abetment to suicide

RAJOURI, Apr 21:  The police has arrested a jawan of Border Security Force for abetment to suicide of a young girl in district Rajouri.
The girl namely Zaheen Kouser (17), daughter of Sher Khan, resident of Niaka Panjgrain died after she consumed some poisonous substance. The police alleged that the jawan namely Mohd Bashir, son of Noor Hussain, resident of village Mankote Thandi Kassi in Rajouri was presently posted in 129 Bn BSF at Tripura. He had come to his village in Rajouri on leave for the last several weeks.
The jawan who was already married and the father of four children, cheated the innocent girl and exploited her physically luring for marriage. But now when the girl mounted pressure under compelling circumstances to marry, he started avoiding. When they were travelling in the bus towards Rajouri, they had some tiff over the issue.  The girl warned that if he will refuse to marry, she will be forced to take poison.  The youth remained  unconcerned over the issue.  The girl took poison in Rajouri and fell unconscious near Bus Stand on April 18. The youth sensing trouble escaped.
The police rushed the girl to local hospital where doctors referred her to Jammu, she died in Jammu hospital the same night. Next day the family narrated the incident to police and the Rajouri police registered a case in this connection. The absconding BSF jawan was today arrested from a hideout. Identified as Mohd Bashir  he is posted in 129th Battalion located some where in Tripura.
