MENDHAR, July 10: A Border Security Force jawan was injured in an accidental fire in Krishna Ghati area in district Poonch today.
Reports said Sepoy Naresh Chand of 135 Battalion of BSF received a bullet injury on his shoulder as his Insas rifle went off accidentally this morning. The jawan was on duty near Kranti Post along the Line of Control when the mishap took place at around 7 am. He was rushed to Army Hospital Poonch and his condition was said to be serious. A court of inquiry has been initiated by the Army.
