SAMBA, May 1: Border Security Force (BSF) personnel have killed a Pakistani infiltrator who was planning to enter the Indian border at Border Post Regal in Samba near here in late evening hours today.

According to sources, at around 8.30 pm on Wednesday, 125 Battalion of Border Security Force personnel saw suspicious movement on the border, after which he was challenged to stop. However, he did not stop, as a result of which the soldiers opened fire on him and he was killed there. There has been no retaliatory firing from the Pakistani side after this incident, sources said.
The body of the intruder is still lying near the fencing on the International Border. After receiving information about the incident, officials of the Border Security Force and security agencies also reached the spot to take stock of the situation. Opposite Indian Border Post Regal is Pakistani Border Post, Chak Bhura from where the intruder was trying to enter the Indian border, sources said.
