JAMMU, Mar 4: A Blood donation camp was organized at BSF Hospital Frontier Headquarters BSF here in collaboration with Department of Blood Bank team of Government Medical College Jammu and Red Cross Society Jammu.
The camp was inaugurated by DK Boora, IG Frontier Jammu and coordinated by Dr Karnail Singh, Commandant (Medical) BSF Jammu.
On this occasion, DK Boora, IG emphasized that blood donation is most noble cause and significant contribution that a person can make towards the society. This act can save a precious human life in need. He also expressed his gratitude to the Doctors/staff and troops present on the occasion.
During the camp, a total of 100 BSF personnel donated blood.
Dr Naveen Bhatt, Assistant Professor, GMCH Jammu, Dr Ritesh, BSF SHQ I/NGR, Dr Lokesh SMO, BSF, Vironica Marwah, Field Officer Red Cross Society and her team was present during this camp.
Fruits were also distributed to blood donors by team of Red Cross Society.
BSF Jammu has always been in forefront to organize such programme from time to time for the welfare of society and committed towards its duty and service to the nation.
