BSF organizes civic action prog, medical camp

Srinagar, Nov 26: Ninety two battalion of Border Security Force (BSF) today organized a civic action programme and a medical camp at Koil village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A BSF spokesman said the civic action programme and the free medical camp were inaugurated by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Pulwama, Tejinder Singh, in the presence of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Headquarters) Pulwama and Air Force officials.
“In the civic action programme, the 92 Battalion BSF provided computers with tables and chairs to four Government schools and the children of Government Girls Primary School Koil  were provided stationary items with an aim to help the poor children who are bound to go to Government schools not by choice but by obligation. The school children in an expression of gratitude performed a grand cultural proramme on the occasion,” he said.
The spokesman said the free medical camp organized by the BSF benefited hundreds of poor ladies, elders and young children a time just before the winter reaches it extremity.
Officiating Commandant, 92 Battalion BSF, Rajive Bhardwaj while addressing the gathering assured that more such camps would be organized for the overall benefit and uplift of local population.
The SSP Pulwama appreciated greatly the efforts of the 92 Battalion BSF  for organizing such a programme.
