BSF organizes medical, blood camps in Pargwal

JAMMU, Feb 7: 92 Battalion of BSF organized a blood as well as medical camp at Government Middle School (GMS), Rajpura in tehsil Pargwal, under its civic action programme.
Ex-MLA Dr Krishan Lal was the chief guest while the function was presided over by Jaswinder Kumar Birdi Commandant, 92 Bn BSF and Neel Birdi, Chief Executive, Family Welfare Centre, 92 Bn BSF. Officers, Sub-ordinate Officers, Jawans and their families were also present.
A huge numbers of villagers residing in Pargwal, Rajpura and adjoining border villages attended the programme. Medical Officers of BSF along with civil doctors and BSF paramedical staff attended around 460 patients during the medical camp and provided free medicines to the needy patients.
In blood donation camp, 82 BSF personnel and families donated their blood for needy persons while as a separate camp for checkup of livestock of the locals were also arranged and about 90 live stocks were examined and provided free of cost medicines.
A cultural programme was also organized on the occasion in which women constables, families and Jawans of 92 Battalion BSF and students of GMS Rajpura performed various forms of art and dance. Besides this, Milan Cultural and Social Organization, Jammu performed a cultural programme.
Dr Krishan Lal, in his speech, praised 92 Battalion BSF for adopting GMS Rajpura for its academic, infrastructural and environmental development.
Meanwhile, the Battalion also distributed stationery to Government Middle School Rajpura for its smooth functioning.
