JAMMU, Jan 10: Mid-Session of ‘Each One Teach One Project’ was held today in BSF School campus.
S C Khajuria, Assistant Commissioner (Retd), KV Sangathan, was the expert called on the occasion who shared with the students and the audience the modus operandi of the project. He told that any person can learn anytime and anywhere with the help of anyone who knows how to read.
Speaking on occasion, Dr SS Khokhar said, “Everyone is specially created and specially designed. Each has a purpose and a rule and each has a right to education and right to live with dignity. This project will definitely boost up their self esteem of those who have never been to school and at the same will provide great happiness of giving to their mentors.”
The project was initiated by Rakesh Kumar Sharma, IG BSF, Jammu FTR and Chairman of BSF School Jammu, on August 15, 2014, and Dr S S Khokhar, Principal, BSF School, immediately took up the responsibility of realising the dreams of many unprivileged to receive education through this project. The aim was to empower every individual with the ability to read and write.
More than 100 students have initially associated with the project under the able guidance of Dr S S Khokhar and his team of teachers (Ruchi Bahl, Janesh Singh and Chander Shekhar). The project aims at taking a learner from being completely illiterate to being able to read a newspaper and carry out his daily life activities smoothly.
