BSF vows to fight terrorism

JAMMU, May 20: Inspector General of BSF, Jammu Frontiers, DK Upadhaya said today that it was bounden duty of the BSF to fight anti-national activities, violence and terrorism to maintain unity and integrity of the nation.
He stated this while reading out the pledge to BSF jawans on the occasion of ‘Anti-Terrorism Day’ today, which was observed by the BSF here.
“It is our bounden duty to fight anti-national activities, violence and terrorism as a true Indian to maintain unity and integrity of the nation,” he said.
Upadhya said the BSF has been maintaining utmost vigil 24×7 along the International Border and has successfully thwarted number of infiltration attempts by the militants on the border in the recent year.
An official handout issued by DIG (G) BSF, Jammu Frontiers, Dharmendra Pareek said the BSF officers and men took oath on the occasion of `Anti-Terrorism Day’ today to continue their fight against terrorism, which has become a menace and was troubling the entire world.
Pareek said the BSF jawans deployed at the border outposts along the International Border also observed the `Anti-Terrorism Day’ by taking the oath to fight the menace of terrorism.
