UDHAMPUR, Sept 21: BSF Wives Welfare Association (BWWA) Day was celebrated with great pomp at STC BSF, Udhampur, under the chairmanship of Deepshikha Gurung, BWWA Head.
Wives of the personnel working in STC and their children enthusiastically participated in the event. During this, a colorful cultural program was presented by the Prahari Sangini and their children, which was thoroughly enjoyed by the audience who encouraged them by clapping.
The BWWA Head of this center honored the Virangnas of the martyred personnel of Udhampur area and personally met them and inquired about their well-being. The BWWA Head assured them that the BWWA organization will always strive to provide every possible help to the families and children of all the Prahari Sangini and Virangnas.
BWWA was started on 18th September 1992 as an employment oriented organization for the wives of BSF personnel and today’s event was also organized with the aim of maintaining this tradition so that they can become aware of the various welfare schemes, financial benefits and scholarship schemes by the Border Security Force.
