MENDHAR, Mar 3: A telephone exchange of the BSNL installed at Harni in Mendhar sub division is out of order for the last about 3-4 months.
Residents of the area alleged that due to non- functioning of this exchange, the BSNL services have been badly affected in the entire area. Over 40,000 people from Harni, Gursai, Kallar Morha, Galuta, Naka Manjari and Harmutta area are suffering due to break down in the land line, mobile and internet services in this belt. They said that despite lodging complaint with the concerned BSNL authorities at Mendhar, the problem has not been rectified so far. They sought the intervention of senior BSNL officers at Jammu.
