BSNL Pensioners Association apprises CGMT about demands

JAMMU, June 19: A delegation of the Department of Telecom and BSNL Pensioners Association, J&K Circle, led by H R Gupta, its vice-president, called on H K Verma, CGMT BSNL, J&K Telecom Circle, Jammu and submitted a memorandum of the demands.
The delegation apprised the CGMT about grievances of the pensioners and their demands, which include immediate settling of indoor medical reimbursement claims, empanelling more hospitals like SMVD Narayana Super Specialty and Medicity Hospital Channi-Himmat, for medical treatment of BSNL employees and pensioners, issuance of pensioners identity cards, medical identity cards and sanction of the concessional telephone facility cards to the retirees on the date of his/her superannuation.
The Association also demanded periodically organizing counseling programme for the benefit of the pensioners and those employees retiring within six month so that they can draw the maximum retirement benefits available to them.
The CGMT, who was accompanied by GM (Admn) V K Garg and AGM (Human Resources) Ranjan Hastu, gave a patient hearing to the demands listed before him and issued on the spot instruction for immediate settlement of the issues.
