JAMMU, Jan 15: State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), today celebrated the 63rd birthday of its national president and former Utter Pradesh Chief Minister, Kumari Mayawati in a function held at Dogra Hall today.
Rajya Sabha MP of the party and state coordinator, Raja Ram was the chief guest while state president of the party Som Raj Majotra presided over. Many party functionaries and workers attended the programme.
On this occasion, the party leaders and activists cut the cake and distributed among the gathering. They also distributed sweets (Laddu) among the participants. They prayed for the long life of the party national president of the party.
Raja Ram while speaking on the occasion conveyed his good wishes to the national president on this day asked the party cadre in the State to gear up for the coming elections. He suggested the party functionaries and State unit to strengthen the party in all the districts and blocks and also reach out to the people in every nook and corner.
State president, SR Majotra and former Samba MLA, Som Nath also spoke on the occasion and asked the party cadre to expand their activities in their respective areas in view of coming elections. Senior party members Tulsi Dass Langeh (former president), Charanjeet Chargotra ( vice president), Badri Nath, Raj Kumnar Thappa and others were also present on the occasion.
