Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, June 7: National general secretary of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) Narender Kashyap (Rajya Sabha MP) has said that his party would launch fresh struggle for the rights of SCs, STs and OBCs  with regard to reservation in the Jammu and Kashmir State.
Mr Kashyap, who is also in-charge of the party affairs in J&K has claimed that people belonging to SC, ST and OBC class  are being denied their right to reservation in the J&K State. He said the party has decided to fight vigorously for the reservation of the members of these communities. The BSP leader asked the party workers and members of these communities to get ready for a united struggle.
Mr Kashyap alleged that people from the `Dalit’ class, poor and down trodden are facing injustice in J&K. Despite repeated requests, representations,  the State Government has turned a deaf ear towards their plight. Even their population share is being ignored  by the State Government. There was urgent need to raise the economic condition of these people. Even in the provincial level meeting of the BSP, the members of these communities have resolved     to launch a massive agitation.
He pointed out that the State is already facing terrorism and if the members of these communities also went on massive agitation,  it will not be good for the Government. It must apply its mind in resolving their pending issues, Mr Kashyap maintained.
