BSP flays Govt on school fee hike issue

JAMMU, Apr 30: State unit of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has criticised the Government and especially the Education department for sharp hike imposed by private schools in the fee structure and said that education was going out of reach of the common man.
In a press statement issued here today state president of the party T S Langeh alleged that it was the matter of serious concern. Many parents have come out for the united struggle but the State Government was sleeping over the issue. He alleged that majority of the people running many private schools belonged to NC or Congress and therefore, the Government is ignoring the public voice. He demanded that Government should demonstrate its control on such educational institutions and curb the menace of issuing unfair and unjustified fee hike every year.
He said a mechanism be adopted to control the fee structure of these private schools/ institutions.
