LUCKNOW: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati, while welcoming the decision of the Allahabad High Court asking the Uttar Pradesh Government to declare dengue as an epidemic in the state, has announced that BSP would probe into all the financial irregularities of this Samajwadi Party Government.
“Now Akhilesh Yadav should work and declare the state as dengue hit state and leave aside his dispute in the family so that the people of the state do not suffer. it is unfortunate that the HC had to intervene in the functioning of the state government to provide relief to the suffering people,” she said.
Ms Mayawati said while the UP Government has admitted that 113 people have died due to dengue in the state but unofficially 219 people have already died due to disease in Lucknow alone.
In a statement here today, Ms Mayawati said that the decision to hike the honorarium of the pradhans and distribution steel plates and glass with photo of CM and Samajwadi Party election symbol is violation of the Government norms and it was done only to influence the voters before the 2017 assembly polls.
“When BSP comes to power in the state next year, it will order probe into all the financial irregularities done by this government,” she announced. (AGENCIES)
