BSP holds meet to discuss strategy for Assembly poll

KATHUA, June 10: AS the Lok Sabha elections are over the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has started preparations for the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
On Monday, the party organized a meeting in Jasrota Assembly Segment of Kathua district and discussed the upcoming Assembly elections. During the meeting, BSP’s Jammu and Kashmir president, Darshan Rana was also present. Apart from him, party general secretary, Sunil Majotra, district president, Raman Kumar, Kuldeep Verma, Mohan Lal, Satpal Bhaboria and Hari Chand Thapa along with other BSP workers were present during the meeting.
Addressing the meeting, party’s Jammu and Kashmir president, Darshan Rana said that for a long time, the BSP participated in the Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir and its candidates got a lot of support from the people on both the Lok Sabha seats. But due to some reasons, the party could not win, but it will participate in the upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that a series of continuous meetings have been started by the Bahujan Samaj Party regarding the Assembly elections and party workers in every Assembly constituency will be asked to be ready for these elections. He appealed to the party workers to start preparing for the upcoming Assembly elections from now itself. He said that the BSP is the only party that takes everyone along and especially talks about the interests of the backward and Dalit class people.
During the meeting, other people of the party also expressed their views.
