RAJOURI, Sept 14: Tulsi Dass Langeh, State president, Bahujan Samaj Party conducted four day tour of the flood affected areas of Rajouri district, accompanied by Sheraj Mirza, State secretary/candidate Darhal Assembly segment, Advocate Haq Nawaz, coordinator/candidate Nowshera Assembly segment, Mohd Rafiq Inqalabi, district president/candidate Kalakote Assembly segment, Zameer Shah, president Darhal Assembly constituency and others.
During the tour, they interacted with cross-section of people whose houses were collapsed/damaged or partially damaged. They said that their crops have been washed away during the flash-floods owing to heavy rainfall. The people are forced to in the open sky without food. They alleged that the claims of Government attention are only on papers not on ground. No single tent or ration is provided to their families which are at the verge of starvation.
Mr Langeh apprised the Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri about the ground reality and appealed for providing tents to shelter less including ration and other essential commodities to the victims of national calamity, so that they could heave a sigh of relief.
The Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri assured for extending best possible corporation.
