JAMMU, Apr 26: State BSP vice president, Charanjeet Chargotra, has urged the authorities concerned to streamline the timing of mini-buses plying on Jammu-Gharota road.
Chargotra said that despite being just 15 kilometres from Jammu, villages of Bhalwal tehsil are still backward, as successive Governments failed to provide adequate basic amenities such as regular drinking water supply and power supply while main Amb-Gharota road is in shabby condition.
He said that people of these villages are mostly dependent on Jammu for their various needs. He said in last over some years, many private professional educational institutions have come up in this area due to which there is huge rush of employees/students moving to and fro.
However, he regretted that private mini-buses plying on the route is not adhering to timing, as after 6PM, there is complete lull on the road and there is no mean to reach people to Jammu. “It is therefore requested to concerned authorities to look into the matter and streamline the timing of the mini-buses on this route.
