BSP meeting held

JAMMU, Aug 26: For strengthening the party at grass root level and highlight general problems of common masses, a meeting of Bahujan Samaj Party was held at Roop Nagar Digiana.
Several local issues and demands of people were discussed in the meeting, which was organized under the chairmanship of S Ravinder Singh Pappu, BSP co-ordinator for Gandhi Nagar Jammu.
BSP State president Tulsi Dass Langeh, who was chief guest in the meeting, charged the Omar Abdullah-led coalition Government with failure on fronts and exhorted the party workers to strengthen the party to ensure maximum seats in next Assembly elections.
Ravinder Singh Pappu, in his address, demanded immediate relief to the rain hit people. He lamented that due to recent heavy rains, the nullah passing through Roop Nagar, had caused extensive damage to houses and property of locals. He urged the Government to depute team for assessing loss and compensation.
