BSP takes serious note of drug scandal in Health Deptt

Jammu,  Oct 5: Bahujan Samaj Party held a meeting of State and district office bearers and took serious note of drug scandal in Health Department under the nose of then Health Minister Sham Lal Sharma.
Meeting held under the chairmanship of Tusli Dass Langeh, State president made mention of the statement of Dr Nasir-ul-Haq, president of Doctors Association which stated that 24 sub-standard medicines purchased/supplied to Government Hospitals and being provided to the patients.
The meeting expressed serious concern for not taking action against delinquent, despite the matter having been brought to the notice of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah by the president of Doctors Association.
The president of Doctors Association has further disclosed that in the Dental College, a machine whose cost is Rs 19 lakh has been purchased at a cost of Rs 45 lakh and this has been proved through RTI. The meeting urged upon the Chief Minister to take stern action against the delinquent by holding impartial inquiry.
The meeting also resolved to observe the 8th Nirwan Diwas of Sahib Kanshi Ramji on October 9, 2013 in the premises party’s State HQ, Narwal Pain, Satwari.
Those who attended the meeting were R L Chargotra, Rattan Kumar Bhagat, B D Thapa, Mohinder Kashyab, Behari Lal Digra, Bharat Bhushan, Naresh Bhagat Sethi, Bansi Chowdhary, K L Thapa and Charan Dass.
