BSP to fight municipal, panchayat elections: Darshan Rana

JAMMU, Jan 2: State Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president Darshan Rana today declared that the party will fight the panchayat and civic elections in Jammu and Kashmir strongly.
Rana appealed to the party workers to be fully prepared for the municipal and panchayat elections to be held in J&K. He said this during a virtual meeting with district/block presidents and other senior leaders of the party.
He said that BSP also contested most of the Assembly seats in the recently concluded Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir and people supported it and now the workers should be fully prepared for the upcoming panchayat and municipal elections.
The BSP UT chief said that in the coming days, the outline of election campaign will also be prepared by the party for these elections and discussions will also be intensified regarding the selection of candidates.
Darshan Rana said that majority of the population of India lives in villages and in such a situation, the development of the country is possible only by development at the Panchayat level and this development can be possible only when better people are elected and come forward.
He said that in the coming days, meetings will be organized at the district and panchayat level, and the names of the candidates will be finalized and there will be discussions about the civic elections during these meetings.
Rana appealed to all the workers and to take the BSP policies to the common people.
