BSS distributes solar lights among border villagers

POONCH, Feb 10: Bharatiya Shiksha Samiti (BSS), J&K distributed solar lights to needy villagers and teachers of Ekal Vidyalaya at Jhalaas border village near LoC. On the occasion 100 solar lights were distributed among the beneficiaries.
In this connection a function was held in the village which besides, the teachers and students was also attended by local people. Pardeep Kumar, Sangrthan Mantri BSS was the main speaker in the function. He highlighted the achievements and mission of the society and said that the organization runs 36 schools in the UTs of J&K and Ladakh in which most of the schools are functional in remote areas of both the UTs.
He said that these solar lights were provided by Brahm Ratan Aggarwal from USA who is the founder patron of the Vidya Bharti, IEEF USA -a NRI Social worker. Jia Lal Vibagh Pracharak RSS, Mahesh Chander , Seh Prant Pramukh Paryavaran along with senior citizens of Poonch town and adjoining areas were also present on the occasion.
In addition to this some plants of walnut were planted in the village and hundreds of walnut plants were distributed among the villagers free of cost. Sangathan Manti BSS , Pardeep Kumar said that in five to six years these trees will produce fruit and help in development of the area besides doubling the income of farmers which is the mission of Prime Minister, Narendra Modi.
The villagers who received solar lights and walnut trees termed it a very progressive missions started by the BSS.
