JAMMU, Sept 3: Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS), a vast network of volunteers across the globe dedicated to helping people in distress, today opened Swami Pranavananda Sewa Niketan dispensary at Panjgrein, Nagrota.
Dr PS Salathia, Ex-Chief Medical Officer, shall be available in the dispensary on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The Sangha’s social welfare activities include disaster relief, spreading education, providing healthcare facilities, vocational training and upliftment of the tribals.
It was founded in 1917 by the illustrious patriot saint Acharya Srimat Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj. It is a philanthropic and charitable organization with non-sectarian, non-communal and non-political character and outlook.
Bharat Sevashram Sangha (BSS) is a spiritual brotherhood of monks and selfless workers devoted to the service of humanity. It has hundreds of ashrams in India and abroad including London, Guyana, Trinidad, Canada, New York, Chicago, California,New Jersey, Fiji, Toronto, Nepal, Bangladesh. It has initiated several missions to African countries, Malaysia, and Indonesia.
