JAMMU, May 11: The Buddi University of Emerging Sciences and Technology (BUEST), the Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh Industries Association (BBNIA) and Taleem Academy Private Limited (TAPL) entered into a tripartite agreement to facilitate the Institute-Industry collaboration towards academic and research for mutual benefit. The greatest beneficiaries of this will be the students, the industry and the civil society at large.
Three dignitaries present at the program from BUEST were Dr Lovi Raj Gupta (Vice Chancellor), Gaurav Jhunjhunwala (secretary of governing body) and Dr Sorab Sadri(Director, School of Management Studies). On behalf of BBNIA the dignitaries were Arun Rawat (president), Y S Guleria (general secretary), Rajinder Guleria (past president along with 28 senior level representatives from Industry. On behalf of TAPL Jaiprakash Hasrajani (CEO) was present.
Under the aegis of this MoU a sustained program of academic adoption has been launched by BUEST with a uniqueness and novelty that is not being offered anywhere else in the country. This program would consist of three separate but concurrent initiatives implemented at BUEST on an ongoing basis.
A new initiative of sponsored study for Industry and skills up-gradation has also been mooted since there is always a need for industry to upgrade the quality of its employees through education and skills development and BBNIA would look upon BUEST to provide the same.
This tripartite agreement between BUEST, BBNIA and TAPL has ushered in a new era in the history of Himachal Pradesh that will facilitate sustained developmental growth amongst the students, workers, managers and civil society in general. It is being hailed as a landmark initiative taken by a University in the annals of institute-industry collaboration.
