Budha Amarnath yatra enters 6th day, 1812 pilgrims arrive

POONCH, Aug 22: While fifth batch of  nearly 1410 pilgrims today performed Darshan at Shri Budha Amarnath Ji shrine at Mandi in district Poonch, the sixth batch of  1812 pilgrims in 34 vehicles including buses arrived here this evening.
Shri Budha Amarnath Ji Yatra Reception Committee Poonch, including DSP DAR Mohan Lal,   other District level officers,  SD Sabha Poonch president  Satish Sasan,  VHP district unit president Nishu Gupta, Bajarang Dal district chief  Sourabh, Dashnami Akhara Committee members and others accorded  warm  reception to the pilgrims arriving from various parts of the country here and garlanded many of them. The committee has made arrangements of tea and snacks for the arriving pilgrims.
The fifth batch of pilgrims  arrived Shri Budha Amarnath Ji  shrine at Mandi  from Poonch this morning and after  performing Darshan and offering prayers,  they left for Jammu in the afternoon.
A round the clock Langar has been arranged at the shrine under the over all supervision of Shri Shri 1008 Mahamandleshwar Swami Vishavatmanand  Saraswati Ji Maharaj.  Swami Ji will lead the `Charri Mubarak’  from Dashnami Akhara Poonch for Mandi shrine of Shri Budha Amarnath ji on Friday.
The sixth batch of 1812 pilgrims in  34 vehicles from various parts of the country  arrived Poonch town this evening.  From Jammu base camp,  14 buses  and eight light motor vehicles left for Poonch this morning  while about a dozen more vehicles joined on the way at Sunderbani and Nowshera.  Most of the pilgrims  today were from  Gujarat, Punjab, Maharashtra  and Harayana. Many yatris from various districts of Jammu region also performed Darshan today.
The pilgrims were accorded warm welcome first at Sunderbani, then at Nowshera and Rajouri and finally at Poonch base camp. They were served break fast at Sunderbani, lunch at Rajouri Army Convoy Ground and evening tea by an Army unit at Bhimber Gali (BG Pass).  Besides J&K Police and  CRPF,  Army is also providing protection to the Yatra en-route.
The pilgrims were accommodated in Akhara Mandir complex, ITI building and in two local Govt Higher Secondary schools for night halt. Many of them also had night stay at Dera Nangali Sahib  near Poonch.  A Langar has also been  set up there for pilgrims at Dera. Tomorrow morning, the 6th batch of yatris will leave for Shri Budha Amarnath Ji shrine at Rajpura- Mandi from  Poonch. After performing `Darshan’ and  offering  prayers, the pilgrims will leave for Jammu.
