JAMMU, Oct 18: Principal Government Medical College Jammu, Dr Nasib Chand Digra today informed that the Medical College Hospital administration is strictly following the COVID treatment protocol while providing medical care to the positive patients.
He said that the main stress is being laid to maintain buffer stock of oxygen cylinders so that the requirement is met in the event of any emergency.
Principal GMC informed that a total 730 oxygen cylinders were consumed in the last 24 including 704 in GMC and 26 cylinders in Chest Disease Hospital. He added that GMC has a buffer stock of 1200 cylinders whereas CD Hospital has 80 cylinders in buffer stock.
Meanwhile, Medical Superintendent GMC, Dr. Dara Singh informed there are total 75 patients in the MCH out of which 17 are in isolation ward, 13 are in CCU, 30 in ward no 3 and 15 in HDU. He said 14 patients have been provided with Bipap facility and 3 are on ventilator support.
The Chest Disease Hospital has 26 patients and all have been provided with oxygen supply facility, he said and added that no death has been reported in GMC in the last 24 hours.
