JAMMU, Jan 6: BME25 – the largest building material exhibition, concluded here today with great enthusiasm and fanfare.
The valedictory function was graced with the presence of Member of Parliament, Jugal Kishore Sharma as chief guest and former Dy Mayor Baldev Billawaria as guest of honour.
Jugal Kishore highly praised the initiative taken by Architects to take the growth of J&K towards new heights by organising such an event wherein the companies from Jammu as well as from entire country participated boosting the concept of Vocal for Local and Make in India.
Baldev Billawaria also appreciated the work done by Architects team of IIA and others who contributed tirelessly for successfully organising such an event.
The IIA JK awards were introduced for the first time involving various Architects and students who participated with their projects for various categories. Vikas Dubey, Chairman IIA J&K Chapter presented the welcome address for the event.
The IIA J&K Chapter has been playing a major role in promoting the architectural profession in the Union Territory by bringing the architects and allied business houses dealing with the construction industry on one platform. The Indian Institute of Architects J&K Chapter involves Vishal Abrol as Vice Chairman, H P Singh as Jt Hon. Secy , Sanjeev Mahajan as Hon Treasurer with nine executive members and two co-opted members .
The function concluded with vote of thanks by Anil Verma , Jt Hon Secy. IIA J&K Chapter.
