Srinagar, Oct 25: The administration has spent crores of rupees on the construction of at least three buildings in Tulail Sub-division of North Kashmir’s Bandipora district, but none of them have been used.
Locals said that despite spending crores of rupees on construction, buildings belonging to various departments in the Tulail sub-division have been abandoned.
“A building perhaps constructed by Department of Health and Medical Education Jammu and Kashmir years ago at Purana Tulail, even spending crores of rupees the building was kept as it is,” Murtaza, a local said, adding that at least three such structures have been damaged before being put to use.
The buildings can be used as Tribal hostels, college hostels, or residential quarters for employees or tourists after renovation, according to a local. “The administration must take steps to renovate and maintain these structures so that they can be used for other purposes”, another local said.
