SRINAGAR, Sept 2: Continuing his election campaign in North Kashmir’s Uri constituency, Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari today visited various localities and urged the electorate for their votes and support in the upcoming Assembly polls.
Speaking to the people on various occasions during his day-long visit to Uri, Bukhari assured them that the Apni Party has a clear vision for the development of this bordering constituency and the well-being of its people.
“I want to assure you that I will never disappoint you. If you give me your mandate to serve you, I will implement a series of developmental initiatives to bring modern and high-quality infrastructure to this area. Moreover, I have a clear vision for fostering prosperity and well-being to the Uri people through a variety of economic initiatives,” Bukhari said.
“I am committed to providing the residents of Uri with a higher quality of life and greater opportunities, as I strongly believe that people of this area are equal partners in achieving sustainable development and empowerment across Jammu and Kashmir. Unfortunately, the traditional political parties, who have ruled Jammu and Kashmir for decades, have left this region underdeveloped and deprived its people of even basic facilities. Uri’s infrastructural deficits and lack of development clearly indicate that the politicians who have held power over the past 75 years have deceived the people and completely neglected this region, ” he added.
“It is your responsibility to make people well aware of Apni Party’s agenda and policies. Everyone should be knowing that Apni Party is the only party with a clear and transparent agenda for the progress and development of Uri, which has been consistently overlooked by successive regimes in terms of infrastructural development,” Bukhari told party leaders.
Prominent among those, who accompanied Bukhari during his day-long tour of Uri, included the party In-charge for the constituency, Ch Mushtaq Ahmad, Farooq Tantray, Syed Showkat Geelani, Syed Shafkat Geelani, Maqbool Sheikh, Syed Shabir, Liyakat Ahmed, Manzoor Lone, Javed Ahmad and Zahid Ahmad.
