Bukhari releases Rs 1 cr for library in AG’s office

SRINAGAR, Sept 17: Minister for Law, Justice, Parliamentary Affairs, Relief and Rehabilitation, Syed Basharat Bukhari, today released Rs 1 crore for library in the Advocate General’s office.
Highlighting the importance of maintaining, updating and upgrading departmental libraries, the Minister underscored that libraries are sources of rich and diverse information and need to be preserved and kept updated.
Bukhari said, this library will be a source of reference for various officers of the Law Department and will be updated with latest legal volumes, journals and other relevant material.
This amount has been released in addition to Rs 30 lakh announced earlier for repairs and maintenance of Advocate General’s office in the High Court Complex that was damaged during last year’s flood.
