WASHINGTON, Nov 8: Saif Ali Khan-Sonakshi Sinha starrer film “Bullet Raja” will be released in the US on November 28, a day before it opens up in Indian theater, promoters of the movie announced here.
Though it is one of the rarest occasions that a Bollywood movie is released in the US ahead of its India release, its promoters in the US said that this is being done to coincide with the Thanksgiving Day — Thursday, November 28 — to get maximum commercial benefit.
“I can’t say it’s the first as there may have been one or two in the past. But it is definitely extremely rare for a Bollywood film to release in the US before India. Thanksgiving Thursday November 28 is a holiday in the US, therefore it is opening on that date here in America,” one of the publicists of the movie in the US said.
Baing directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia, “Bullet Raja” is scheduled to be released in some 100 theaters across the US and Canada. (PTI)
