JAMMU, June 2: Police in Jammu’s Bishnah area claimed today that they have arrested a burglar who was involved in a theft case at a local shrine.
A police spokesperson said that one Sanjeet Kumar son of Kuldeep Raj of Ratnal, Bishnah, lodged a written complaint at Police Station Bishnah, stating therein that some unknown burglars decamped with cash box from Peer Baba Ratnal.
On receipt of the complaint, he said, a team of Police Station Bishnah, led by SHO concerned, Vikram Sharma, under the supervision of SDPO RS Pura, Nikhil Gogna, and overall supervision of SSP Jammu, Chandan Kohli, arrested the accused with the help of CCTV footage and human intelligence.
The accused identified as Ajay Kumar of Rehal, Bishnah, Jammu, has been booked in case FIR number 130/2023 under section 379 of the IPC registered at Police Station Bishnah and further investigation taken up.
