KISHTWAR, Jan 4: Police here today cracked a case of burglaries involving theft of cooking gas cylinders and arrested the burglar involved in the crime.
In this regard, SSP Kishtwar, Javaid Iqbal Mir informed that Police Station Kishtwar received multiple complaints regarding the theft of cooking gas cylinders.
Acting on these complaints, a team of cops led by Incharge Police Post Hidyal was constituted under the supervision of Dy.SP Headquarters Kishtwar, Dr. Ishan Gupta to investigate the matter.
The investigation team used advanced methods, and their rigorous effort led to the arrest of the main accused, Arshad Hussain, son of Abdul Wahid, resident of Gourian.
The stolen gas cylinders were also recovered from his possession and a case in FIR with number 05/2025, under Sections 305/331(3) BNS, has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar and the investigation was underway.
