Burglars decamp with cash and ornaments

KATHUA, Nov 7: Burglars decamped with Rs 60,000 in cash, golden and silver ornaments worth three lakh from the residence of Pawan Kumar S/o Puran Chand in Garai village late last night when Pawan Kumar was not present in his house.
According to reports five burglars with arms intruded into the house of Pawan Kumar and after locking his three children, father and wife Veena Devi in a room decamped with cash and jewelery.
The Kathua Police is investigating the case and has recorded the statement of inmates of the family.
Police suspects that the burglars may have come from the neighboring Punjab and might have fled back to their home State after burglary.
