Burglars decamp with gold, cash from ex-serviceman’s house

SAMBA, Feb 4: Burglars decamped with gold and cash from the house of Sukhdev Singh an ex-serviceman at border village Pangdhour, in Samba district late last night.
According to the Sukhdev Singh whole family members slept around 11 PM last night and when his wife woke up early this morning at 4 am, she was astonished to see the door of the lobby was open. She informed her husband and both made the round of the rooms around.
Sukhdev Singh said that he saw that almirah in the one room was open and the cash and gold were missing. Both became panicky and they checked the whole house. They found the keys of an almirah and empty cash bag near the main gate of the house.
After that they informed the Police, Police rushed to the spot with FSL team. Sukhdev Singh gave details to the Police about the case that 7 to 8 tolas of gold and cash Rs 70,000 were stolen from the almirah. FSL team took samples from the spot and Samba Police also registered a FIR in this case and started the investigation.
