Burglary case solved in Baramulla, 3 arrested

SRINAGAR, May 28: Police in Baramulla today solved a burglary case by arresting 3 accused persons involved in the commission of the crime and recovered stolen property from their possession.
As per police, on May 27, Police Station Boniyar received a complaint from one person Mushtaq Ahmad Ahanger, who is the accounts officer of Small Hydro Electric Project Boniyar, stating therein that some unknown burglars have stolen steel shuttering plates from the construction site at Maidanan Boniyar.
“Accordingly, a case under relevant sections of law was registered at Police Station Boniyar and an investigation was initiated,” police said.
During the investigation, police said, officers with the help of technical and human resources zeroed in on some suspects for questioning.
Among them, police said, 3 suspects identified as Aqib Ahmad Shah son of Mohammad Hafeez Shah resident of Nangli Pora Sopore, Bashir Ahmad Jainder son of Sayia Jinder resident of Madian Boniyar & Sajad Ahmad Thakar son of Gulam Qadir Thakar resident of Uranbowa confessed their involvement in the commission of the crime after thorough interrogation.
On their disclosure, officers have also recovered stolen property from their possession. “They have been arrested and shifted to the police station where they remain in custody.”
