Burglary case solved in Sopore, 2 arrested

SRINAGAR, May 15: Police in Sopore today said to have solved a burglary case by arresting two accused persons involved in the commission of the crime and recovering stolen property from their possession.
On May 10, Police Post Putkha received a written complaint from Mehboob Hussain Mir son of Ghulam Nabi stating therein that some burglars had entered his newly constructed school namely ‘Heritage School’ at Hygam, Sopore and burgled the generator, motor and paint bucket, police said.
Accordingly, it said, a case vide FIR No. 41/2022 under relevant sections of law was registered in Police Station Tarzoo and an investigation was initiated.
During the investigation, police said, the officers investigating the case, by using modern techniques including the collection & examination of the CCTV footage and other corroborating evidence arrested the two accused persons identified as Aadil Khaliq Ganie and Saqib Akbar Ganie both the residents of Bulgam Sopore involved in the commission of the crime.
“On their disclosure, stolen property was recovered from their possession,” police said.
