Burglary in lawyer’s house at Surankote

POONCH, Apr 3: A theft incident was reported in the house of an advocate at Iqbal Nagar, in Surankote town of Poonch district.
The house owner, Syed Mumtaz Hussain Shah said that in between 10 AM and 12 noon during the day, this incident happened when he dropped his son in his school. There was nobody in the house. The son returned from school and informed him that motorcycle has been damaged. He reached home and came to know that thief/ thieves has/ have entered from nearby school’s terrace.
The indicators of the bike were broken, seat cover damaged and scratches were on motorcycle. The computer, printer and other electronic appliances were damaged, books and files were on the floor and Rs 1.20 lakh cash was stolen along with gold chain and two blankets, Shah revealed.
He said the matter was reported to police which registered an FIR number 49/2024. SHO Mukhtiar Ali said that investigation has been taken up, CCTV footage is being checked, statements have been recorded. Matter is being investigated as per theft as well as rivalry angle, he added.
