Burn victim succumbs to injuries

JAMMU, June 4: A victim of fire due to LPG cylinder leak in a three-star hotel at holy town Katra succumbed to his injuries today in a hospital at Ludhiana today.
As per reports, Gulshan, son of Ishar Dass of Agar Jitto, Katra received over 90 per cent burns along with two others in a fire incident due to LPG cylinder leak at three star KC Residency Hotel, Katra yesterday.
All the injured were shifted to Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), from where Gulshan was rushed to a hospital in Ludhiana for advance treatment.
He failed to respond to the treatment and succumbed to his burn injuries in the hospital at Ludhiana.
The body has been handed over to family members for last rites after completing legal formalities.
Police has taken cognizance in this regard.
It is to mention that, LPG cylinder leak triggered a fire in the kitchen of three-star KC Residency Hotel, Katra in which Gulshan along with Pankaj, son of Kaku Ram of Billawar, district Kathua and Dalip Singh, son of Rattan Singh of Tikri, district Udhampur received burn injuries.
