Burning of waste has added to pollution in Jagti: AIMCCC

JAMMU, May 6: All India Migrant Camp Coordination Committee (AIMCCC) chairman Desh Rattan Pandita, has taken serious note of burning waste material in Jagti township. Complaints of suffocation in nearby buildings and blocks were received from people mainly from senior citizens, he added while addressing the meeting of his organization today.
He said this pollutes the air which can adds to the chest diseases ,particularly in present COVID Pandemic. Several requests were made earlier for transportation of same to some far of place but in vain. Secondly the concerned agencies in administration ,are requested to sanitize the colony buildings at an earliest possible time to control further spread of COVID-19 Pandemic in this heavily congested colony, said Desh Rattan.
Sub district health centre Jagti which provides health cover facilities to the people of colony and other people of large area surrounding it, be facilitated with full infrastructure ie medicine, machinery and specialist doctors in every Department of hospital which is urgent need of the hour. No doubt, concerned l/C of Hospital and other staff work sincerely but the shortfalls need to be resolved.
The members who participated the meeting assured full support to fight COVID-19 ,for which an awareness programme has already been started.
