KATHUA, Mar 31: Eight persons including driver of a bus were seriously injured when a super fast bus which was on way from Kathua to Jammu was trapped between the two trucks at Bus Stop near Chadwal Morh today.
The accident took place at National Highway near Chadwal Morh between two trucks and super fast bus bearing registration Number JK02B-8517 which was coming from Kathua side towards Jammu and both the trucks bearing Number JK01R-9089 and 2AD JK13A-8021 which were also coming from same side hit each other with the result 8 bus passengers were seriously injured.
The bus rammed into the front truck and the truck following it rammed into the bus. The ill fated bus was badly damaged.
A crane was put into service to lift the bus and clear the road. All the injured were shifted to Hiranagar Sub District Hospital. But the seriously injured identified as Ankush, 24, S/o Parshotam Lal R/o Sallan, bus driver Hardev Singh, 35, S/o Joginder Singh R/o Vijaypur Samba, Surjeet Singh, 42, S/o Lab Singh, Hirman Singh, 50, S/o Ram Rakha Choudhary, R/o Gorkhpur UP, A/P City Chowk, Kathua were brought to SDH, Hiranager for treatment. After treatment all injured were referred GMC Jammu.
