UDHAMPUR, June 9: Shopkeepers, transporters, hoteliers, lodges owners and other businessmen of Udhampur have demanded a special financial package and loan waiver in view of lockdown and losses suffered by the traders.
Talking to media persons, here today, some leaders from the business community said that they have suffered losses due to unplanned Government order of lockdown, which put the traders under shock.
“Small shopkeeper, transporter, taxi operators, auto rickshaw mini bus, bakers, tailors, Dhabas, restaurants, dry cleaners and other allied activities were shut down to honour the lockdown decision of the Government, which must now come to the rescue of business community,” they said and demanded a financial package, waiver of loan, remission of electricity bills, income tax waiver, school fee waivers, so that the business houses may rehabilitate the staff, which would ultimately benefit the society.
