Butwani PHC starts round the clock functioning

SRINAGAR, Dec 19: The Primary Health Centre (PHC) at Butwani in Ganderbal district has been made functional round the clock from today by the Department of Health Services Kashmir.
This was announced at a function by the CMO Ganderbal at PHC Butwani today. The function was attended by MLA Ganderbal Ishtiyaq Jabar, PRP president Mir Ghulam Rasool, BMO Wakura and a large number of people of the area.
On the occasion MLA announced Rs four lakh for the PHC for providing basic infrastructure to it.
Addressing the function Mir Ghulam Rasool demanded posting of doctors in every stream so that the health centre can properly function round the clock. He also demanded that the PHC be provided basic infrastructure and ultrasound machine with posting of adequate para medical staff and doctors.
He said two doctors working under NHRM in Wakura Block have been kept attached to BMO Lar and they be immediately relieved to be posted in PHC Butwani. He also demanded construction of building for PHC Butwani and made an appeal to Health and Medical Education Minister Ch. Lal Singh in this regard.
He said it was a long pending demand of the people that Butwani PHC be made functional round the clock and CMO Ganderbal and BMO Wakura took a keen interest in fulfilling the demand.
Mir also demanded a building be constructed for descipensary of Shalbug in Ganderbal tehsil which is functioning in a rented building and doctors and para medical staff be posted for the same immediately.
