JAMMU, June 30: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP), Shivalik Branch (Channi Himmat, Jammu) organized a one-day programme under the mission ‘‘Women Empowerment” at Silai Prashikshan Kendra of the Branch.
The programme was held to award the certificates to the qualified students for the session 2023-24. The BVP Shivalik Branch is also celebrating Sewa Pakhwara from 27th June to 10th July on the eve of birth anniversary of Dr Suraj Parkash Gupta (BVP founder). The programme was started with the lighting of the lamp.
Speaking on the occasion, HS Vaid (president, BVP) said that the training will surely help the pass out students to earn their livelihood and make them self dependent. He acknowledged the relentless efforts made by the Project Incharge Sunita Mahajan and every member of the Branch to make this a successful event. He said that their mission is to make the girls/ladies self dependent.
BB Sharma (president, Prant) while speaking on the occasion highlighted the basic objective of BVP. He explained that the organization is a social organization. In his address, he appreciated the students and team of Shivalik Branch for their best and sincere efforts to promote such noble cause which is helpful for the society.
The three pedestal machines donated by UPL Limited Samba and the unit head Ponnu Samy along with Amit Choudhary with HR were honored with Angvastar by HS Vaid. The certificates were distributed among the qualified students by BB Sharma, Ashok Gupta (vice president, Prant) and other dignitaries.
Ashok Khajuria (secretary) conducted proceedings of the programme while Anju Bansal (Mahila Pramukh Branch) presented the vote of thanks.
The dignitaries who attended the programme were Arun Sharma (Centre committee NGSC), Shiv Sharma (secretary, Prant), Jagjit Singh Ishar, Environment Pramukh, Raksh Sharma (treasurer), Dr Vijay Sharma (co-convener), Arti Sharma (Mahila Pramukh, Prant), Prof Virinder Gupta, Shashi Gupta, Vandna Mani and other members of the Branch.
