BVP organises Group Song Competition

KATHUA, Oct 16: Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Kathua Branch here today organized an Interschool National Group Song Competition at Nav Adarsh Higher Secondary School.
MLA Dr. Bharat Bhushan was chief guest and Chief Education Officer, Mangat Ram Sharma presided over the function.
Seven teams from different schools of Kathua displayed their talent on this occasion.
Welcome address was presented by Gandharb Singh Katal, ex-president BVP Kathua and Director of host institution. Prof. Dr. Ram Murti Sharma, chief patron of BVP highlighted the motto of the organisation and apprised the audiences of various social activities being undertaken by the branch.
Adjudicators of the event were Inder Paul Gupta, Sunil Dutt Shad and Rajeev Sharma.
Ashok Gupta, president BVP Kathua apprised the guests and gathering of the activities to be undertaken in near future. The best teams selected today shall take part in the Prant level competition to be held at R.M Public School, Sainik Colony, Jammu on October 25, 2024.
In today’s programme, 1st position was secured by Learning Temple High School, 2nd by Little Angels’ HSS School and 3rd by Shivalik Heights HSS Gurha Mundian.
Winners of the competition and participating contestants were given mementoes and certificates by the dignitaries.
Vote of thanks was extended by Kuldeep Goswami, BVP secretary Kathua.
Present on the occasion were Ditt Kumar Sharma, treasurer, Vidya Rattan Sharma, Rahul Dev, ex-councilor, M.S Pathania, retired Principal Higher Education, Dr. Darshan Sharma, Khem Raj Sharma, Shivdarshan Singh, Sardar Khan, Shamsher Singh, Amarnath Sharma, Pawan Sharma, S.P Badyal, Kapil Sharma, Mahipal Sharma, Dwarka Nath, Pratap Singh, Chairmen of various participating schools, heads of different NGOs, staff, students and prominent citizens.
