BVP organizes Sanskrit Sensitization lecture

JAMMU, May 18: Taushi Shakha of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Jammu Prant organized a motivational lecture here today on ‘Importance of Learning Sanskrit Language’ for the students, staff and members of the School Management & Development Committee of the Government Higher Secondary School, Muthi.
The lecture was delivered by Dr. Namita Sharma, a member of Taushi Shakha of BVP, who is a radiologist by profession, having a passion for teaching, learning and propagating Sanskrit language.
Dr. Namita Sharma traced the origin and history of Sanskrit language, and, through various illustrations and evidences, she explained how different Indian languages had originated from this ‘mother of various Indian languages’.
Ajay Khajuria, President of Taushi Branch, BVP was the chief guest.
The proceedings were presided over by Kiran Sharma, Principal of the School.
A number of students of the school, who had designed educative posters focusing on Need and Methods of Water Conservation, also displayed these during the event.
The programme was coordinated by Satish Kumar, Vice Principal of the School and Supriya Sharma anchored the proceedings.
Jagmohan Sharma, Col. Man Singh Jamwal, Madan Lal and C.M Sharma (Sanskar Pramukh) of BVP, Taushi Branch were also present on the occasion.
